Helaman 5:12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the arock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your bfoundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty cstorm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

7/25/11

We´ve probably got the apartment. They´ve decided to stop arguing over the contracts and just sign them. Now it´s a matter of when. As such, I´ll probably be in the new place a week and a half. I doubt I´ll even fully unpack.
I´ll probably be getting transferred out this time, but I don´t know where to. There weren´t very many spots that didn´t go through a change last transfer. One of the few options is Terrassa...which is about twenty minutes away from Granollers, so I wouldn´t be going very far away. Or I could go to Gerona...which isn´t very far away either, heh. I wouldn´t even change districts.  The other slots open are with previous companions or in my previous areas, so there´s not a whole lot of selection.  That means no packages or mail for a while.

Speaking of that, I finally had the time to translate and type up that talk, so I´ll send it out this week. The post office is on summer time extra lazy schedule, which means they´re open from 10 to 1 Monday through Friday, so it´ll probably take longer to get there.

They´ll be doing the baptisms in the river here until they finish remodeling the commercial space into a chapel. Allegedly that´ll take two months, but if city hall decides to drag their feet on permits it could be longer.

The week was fairly calm. It was supposed to rain during the weekend, but it didn´t happen. The weather was a little nicer, though. Maybe if I stay up north I´ll avoid the summer this time.
Saturday we went out to the middle of nowhere for an activity. I got a little toasted, but I´m all right now. At least my legs got some sun for once. That doesn´t happen often.

Tuesday we had interviews, which went normally as always. Afterwards we went out as a district to Plaza Catalunya looking for a restaurant to eat in...ended up with Elder Dalton and I leading around the others for twenty minutes with no one wanting to say what they wanted. They moaned about KFC, about Burger King, about Subway, McDonalds... Finally told them to go and get whatever they finally decided on, and we were going somewhere on our own. Then they just followed us to Subway...typical.

Elder Dalton´s greenie and Elder Jones´s greenie get along too well. Like my companion says, they´re both big, tall, and brainless.

Not much planned for today. I think we´re going to hang around and watch movies, relax. Usually there´s not a whole lot of desire to do anything on p-day.

Heh, ´deep´ sunday school lessons here in Spain usually worry me. They end up with everyone going off into false doctrine land or things they ´heard´ someone say in 1962, but that never really happened. Then I just get a headache and put my head down.

I keep hoping that one of these days I´ll have a companion that understands baseball or at  least knows one team. But alas, no such luck as of yet. My current companion just thinks that soccer is the end of all sports...I haven´t told him that it´s not a sport, it´s a hobby. Sports require the use of hands.

Well, I hope school starts off calmly this year. They´ll probably learn that the air conditioning system wasn´t prepared to run in July and blow all the condensers out.

Love,

Bradley.
