Helaman 5:12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the arock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your bfoundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty cstorm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Okay, I´m okay now. Really.

Camps during the summer are usually time consuming.

Did the cold break all the plastic joints on the hoses or did it mess up the filter and pump? Or both?
That´ll mess up flights going to LA and San Diego. FAA loves things like that. Still, it looks like it´s probably going to be a bad fire season. A little extra preparedness would be good for this year. Things probably aren´t going to get any better any time soon. But as long as we´re doing what we should, we´ll be fine.

Puppy.....the floor, the rugs, hide them all! Bye bye couches and linens! Flee from the dog!

We´ll, you´ve finally gone out of Primary. Binner will be fine.

Yes, I did get the box. I don´t know about the envelope, though, because I didn´t get a notice saying it´d been impounded either.

Things are moving along. It´s not that bad out there. We´ll probably have some baptisms in the coming weeks. The family is still there, but now they´re moving back to Ecuador and are set on not getting baptised here, and told us ´maybe´ when they get back to their country. We´ll try to get some info on where they´re going so we can send it out to the mission over there.

We´ll be doing some things towards an apartment this week.

Heheheheheheheheheme find a girl over here. No. I don´t have the remotest desire to live here in Spain. One of the cardinal rules I have is that the wife must be a natural born US citizen. Es lo que hay.(Google translate will not translate this right. It stinks. Translation is ¨It´s what there is.¨) Another is that she cannot be taller.

Hey, they did just do a full restructure of the senior couple missions. Now they´re different. One day, we´ll see about making that happen.

No, no parties. Parties bad. Sleep good.

So the week went pretty well. One of the things I found out in the store in Vic was...DR PEPPER!!!!!. Okay, so it´s not the best thing in the world, but it was a nice reminder of what it´s like to drink carbonated prune juice. And unlike the US cans (these were made in Belgium), it admits that the drink is ´fruit based´. I bought four cans. There might be more this week.

Saturday we got to go into to Barcelona and see the stake center dedication. Announced twenty-nine years ago, it´s now finally open and dedicated. Spain=slow.

One of the high councilman was talking about how ¨We´ve waited a long time for this building. We´ve suffered lack of faith, slow movement on the part of the church, on the part of Barcelona, etc. We´ve seen four stake presidencies come and go. I think it hurt worst when they split the stake, formed the Hospitalet stake, and then that stake got a four story stake center in the mid 90´s, and we still had another fifteen years to wait.¨

Elder Texiera was down from Germany to do the dedication. He kept slipping into Portuguese during his talk(he´s from Portugal). It´s still funny, though, because his English has a New York accent to it, and that accent carries over into his Spanish.

Then little brother (E. Dalton) and I took our companions into Barcelona to...Subway. Yeah, it was over busy, the guy didn´t do our orders right, but it came out okay.

Sunday was interesting. A lot of people didn´t come, so with the time we had all the members except one (she didn´t want to) were able to bear their testimonies and there was still five minutes of silence left...

Today we´ll be relaxing. I´m going to shop for food, then relax for the rest of the day.

Have a good week. More pictures to come soon.
